same old, same old; first of all, lewis always advocated for closer racing throughout the years he was winning; so no he didn't suddenly start complaining when he stopped having a winning car; second of all, red bull have threatened to leave the sport if the fia didn't curb mercedes' dominance (as early as 2015 mind you), so criticising dominance is nothing new and red bull were the most vocal before (with horner at the forefront); and i think what's important to mention is the fact, that what lewis is proposing in the long-term isn't even about red bull specifically i.e. to purposefully curb their advantage, but to level the playing field for all the teams; that's why he mentions a scenario when a team realises it has a bad car and therefore decides to dedicate the budget to next year's car instead; that goes in contrast to what red bull were trying to do during mercs' dominance, which was to directly impact mercedes only
